Church Attendance

By: Dr. Robert Morey

I. What is one of the most important questions a Christian can ever ask?

  • "Why do we assemble together on the Lord's Day?
  • What is our PURPOSE and GOAL in coming to Church?
  • WHY do we come and WHAT are we supposed to get out of it?"

II. This question forces us all to THINK about our MOTIVES and GOALS in church attendance.

This morning, GOD wants YOU to examine your heart and find out if your church attendance arises from TRADITION or the BIBLE.

      A. THE MOTIVE BEHIND CHURCH ATTENDANCE

TRADITION

THE BIBLE

2.  Church attendance is OPTIONAL.
You do not have to attend church.

3.  Go, if you FEEL like it.

2.  Church attendance is MANDATORY. (Heb. l0:25; I John 2:l9).

3.  Go, regardless of feelings.

IV. KNOWLEDGE of the will of God and the Bible is the key to Christian living.
